Service technician arrived within the window of time for appointment, and honored no contact request. He conducted the maintenance inspection and made his report. I received the report via e-mail. The maintenance service program offered by Peaden is a worthy investment.

On October 27th Jarrett performed a scheduled tune up for two split system units. All indoor unit amp draws and capacitor readings were checked and all checked good. Drain lines were cleared and primed. Coils and blowers were checked for build up. And all looked good. Condensers were checked and all units are operational at this time. Reme ballast was swapped out as well.

Dug up the lines going under building close as possible and still no voltage. Ran a thermostat wire through the front door to get system cooling. Soon as condenser came on line set began to freeze. Attempted to add refrigerant but pressures just got lower. Jamaal came out to provide estimate for replacing system and running new line set.

LaVar 26OCT2021 Arrive to conduct a diagnostic on a system that the outside unit was making a loud noise. The neighbor to the right gave me access to the property. I found that the liquid line pressure would stay at static pressure and the suction line would drop to 0 psi. I adjusted the adjustable TXV to allow more refrigerant into the system. The pressures stayed the same. I call to our local supplier and they had an compressor. I left and returned with an new compressor. I recovered the refrigerant and sweated out the old compressor and brazed in the new one. I pressurized the system with nitrogen to 250 psi for 15 minutes. I placed the system into a deep vacuum to 310 microns. I charged the system with 5.5 lbs of refrigerant. When I turn on the system the pressures read the same as before. We will need to replace the TXV. I informed the customer of what was happening to the system. Then I talk to the neighbor and told them I was done for today. Also that we would need to come ba

I checked the static pressure and the return side was low. Customer told me that they had had issues with a whistling noise and TJ was looking into it but he whistling had stopped so they didn’t follow up about the whistle. After I checked the static pressure and then cut into the ducts to take some pictures, the whistling returned. I climbed into the attic and looked at the ducts. They had multiple ducts that are leaking air into the attic. I explained to the customer how leaking ducts and airflow issues can cause major issues and they agreed to speak with a comfort consultant about replacing the ductwork.
